There are all different sorts of registry errors you might encounter while using your PC. The following are 5 of the most prevalent.
Runtime Errors – These are when a software application that you currently have running on your computer runs into a problem. This could be caused by a number of reasons, most typically unresolved programming glitches otherwise known as “bugs” in the program.
DLL Errors – DLL stands for Dynamic Link Library. DLL files are software modules comprised of libraries of executable codes and functions that software applications can call upon when needed to perform particular tasks. Your computer has literally thousands of these DLL files, leading to a high probability of DLL errors caused by a variety of different factors, most commonly an overwritten or deleted shared DLL, malfunctioning software applications and hardware devices, faulty installation of applications, and malware infections.
Stop Errors – These types of errors have numerous possible causes and can occur at virtually any point in the operation of your PC, from startup to shutdown. Problems that can cause stop errors include trouble with the driver for a particular device, malfunctioning or overheating hardware components, system BIOS that are incompatible, difficulties with software applications that attach themselves to core operating system files in order to perform certain tasks, overburdened system resources, and damaged files.
VxD Errors – Windows uses Virtual Device Drivers to establish a communications link between your system hardware and lower level internal Windows operating system functions in order to perform privileged CPU mode operations.
VxD errors can be caused by incompatible or out of date versions of the VxD files on your system, a faulty hardware device, a missing device identifier, conflicting drivers, Plug-and-Play feature errors, a faulty motherboard, an improper CMS configuration, and malware infections.
ActiveX Errors – Active X technology is used to create software components that can then be incorporated into applications that may or may not utilize the same programming language. Active X errors are most commonly caused by faults and breaches in your PC security.
Fortunately, fixing all these errors is far simpler than explaining or understanding them all. Just install a top-notch registry cleaner, and use as directed.
